IRET values the trust its shareholders place in the company. Accordingly, IRET adheres to the highest ethical standards in gathering, using and safeguarding the shareholder information that is entrusted to the company.
USE AND COLLECTION OF SHAREHOLDER INFORMATION
IRET limits access to shareholder information to those employees who need it to carry out their business functions. IRET educates its employees about IRET policies and practices in regard to safeguarding shareholder information, preventing unauthorized access to shareholder information, and the use or disclosure of shareholder information.
IRET does not sell, rent or exchange information about its shareholders. IRET provides information about current or former shareholders only as follows:

As Authorized by the Shareholder. If specifically directed by a shareholder, IRET will send a shareholder's account statements or other information to a third party. However, to protect the shareholder's privacy, and to preclude the unauthorized disclosure of information, all shareholder authorizations for third-party disclosure are required to be in proper written form, and the shareholder's signature must be acknowledged by a notary public.

As Required by Law or Regulation. In limited circumstances, federal or state law may require IRET to disclose shareholder information to third parties. Examples include responses to a subpoena, court order, or to a regulatory demand by an entity such as the Internal Revenue Service or the Securities Exchange Commission.
ACCURACY AND SECURITY OF SHAREHOLDER INFORMATION
IRET makes all reasonable efforts to ensure that the shareholder information it maintains is accurate, timely and secure. IRET will monitor and adopt, as appropriate, new technological developments that are designed to aid in ensuring the accuracy and security of shareholder information. IRET enforces its policies in regard to gathering, access and use of personal shareholder information by its employees and authorized third parties.
